Terms of use
What Blockgence is, what it does not do, how access works and which uses are not allowed. They apply to this website, the platform, the API and the MCP server. Updated on 2026-10-25.
// the service
What Blockgence is
An on-chain forensic tracing platform: it follows money across wallets and chains, identifies who addresses belong to and measures risk with explicit reasons. Every conclusion carries its source, its confidence and its method, and what could not be seen is declared.
Results are evidence for an investigation, within the scope each one declares: an attribution says where it comes from and with what confidence, and a link says whether it is proven or inferred. They are not a legal determination, nor legal, financial or investment advice.
// what it does not do
What Blockgence does not do
- It does not file requests. It does not write to exchanges, stablecoin issuers or authorities, and it sends nothing on its own. The freeze package is the input for an authority, or the victim's lawyer, to file through each party's official channels.
- It does not recover funds. It shows where they went and what can be frozen today. It cannot promise that they will be frozen or returned: that is up to the exchange, the issuer or a court.
- OFAC sanctions only. It checks OFAC's SDN list with its dated history. The European Union, United Kingdom and United Nations lists are not included.
- It does not hold funds and never asks for private keys, seed phrases or payments to freeze or return anything. Anyone asking for that in Blockgence's name is not Blockgence.
// access
Invitation-only access
- For now Blockgence works by invitation: you ask through the website's form and, if it fits, you get a link to create your account.
- Each account belongs to one person and to an organization. It is not shared: your credentials and your API keys are yours, and what is done with them is recorded on the account.
- The organization manages its members. An account or an API key can be suspended if it is used against these terms or puts the service at risk.
// acceptable use
Acceptable use
Blockgence may not be used to:
- harass, extort or expose people, or to identify someone without a legitimate investigative reason;
- offer «recovery services» that charge upfront, or impersonate Blockgence, an exchange or an authority;
- present a result as more than it declares: a probabilistic attribution as a fact, or a trace with cut reads as complete;
- try to access another organization's cases, accounts or data, or get around the API's limits and quotas;
- any illegal activity.

Third-party sources
Part of the data comes from third-party sources (explorers, nodes, public lists), each with its own terms. Each result says where its data comes from. How personal data is handled is on the privacy page.
